Featured: The Name Game!

I told you I had a surprise.

Today, I was lucky enough to be asked by my lovely friend Cindy at LiveAColorfulLife to play her famous Name Game!  I'm thrilled - I've been introduced to so many wonderful bloggers by following The Name Game and reading Cindy's blog.

So, if you've ever wanted to know why I go by the name "CitricSugar", be sure to swing by Cindy's blog today. :-)

Thanks for asking me to play, Cindy!

  3. I'm already a fan, so it was fun to read what Cindy, and you, had to say. I love your blog name, the quilts you make, and the person behind the blog, who I'm getting to know! Keep up the great work!

  7. P.S. Sorry for the above deleted comment - meant to post that on Cindy's blog.

I went back and read your Teacher Identity Quilt post....the comment section is closed there but I had to tell you how much I enjoyed reading all about your "homework" assignment. Each explanation of the various sections of the quilt and their importance and meaning really touched me. You are a marvelous teacher I am sure and your students are lucky to have your influence. Sure hope you received an A+ on this assignment ;-))

  8. I just read your post of your completed Teacher Identity Quilt (and am slowly reading the progress posts). I was moved beyond words, which says a lot coming from a speech language pathologist ;-) I wish I could express the range of emotions that went through me while reading the background and meanings behind your quilt (which is amazingly beautiful)!! I saw so many parallels with my life, my school, and my students. Such a powerful message!! With your permission, I would love to share your post and story with the teachers at my school when we return in August. I think it would be such a great motivation (and reminder of why we chose to be in education)to start out our new year.

Who doesn't love comments? I appreciate every single one and try to reply to each. Unless you're a no-reply commenter. Then I can't. And I have a little sad moment. Like a dropped ice cream cone. So if you're a no-reply commenter and have a question, check the comment thread and I'll try to reply there. :-)
